The principal role of Thunderbird 1 is to get to the danger zone as quickly as possible so that pilot Scott Tracy can assess the situation and advise on specialist equipment required. Once assessed, he directs the rescue operation either from the cockpit of Thunderbird 1 or from the Mobile Control Console.Recreate this thrill with your own Thunderbird 1 Play set. As soon as that danger call arrives, let the exclusive articulated Scott figure climb into the lounge access of the rocket. Press the buttons on this Thunderbird 2 to hear the booster rockets spring into action and propel International Rescue to the heart of danger.
The rocket wing folds out and trigger engine landing noises, as Scott calls "I hope we're not to late father". On landing, fold the rocket legs down. And if things get really tricky open up the fuselage to reveal the hoverbike and the mobile control unit.

Five, four, three, two, one... The Thunderbird 2 Electronic Play set is the toy that every Thunderbirds fan has been waiting for. A substantial 42x28 cm in size, the Thunderbird 2 freighter is action packed with features and devices to make it a worthy part of an International Rescue.As fans of the F.A.B team will know, Thunderbird 2 is the vehicle that carries all the heavy engineering equipment and is usually at the heart of the main action in the danger zone. This play set naturally includes the fully functioning pod with button to release from the main body of the vehicle.
Just wait for the call for help, press one of the voice control buttons to hear pilot Virgil Tracy call "Let's get to work" or "We'll need Pod 4 Gordon". Press another button to activate the turbo jet blast-off noises. And don't be mistaken--these electronic sound effects last a lot longer than the normal quick 5 second burst. This is true adventure.
Two of the Tracy boys are included in miniature and fully articulated format--Thunderbird 2 Pilot Virgil Tracy and Thunderbird 4 aquanaut Gordon Tracy, ready to easily fit into the command chairs of their respective vehicles.
The cockpit to Thunderbird 2 lifts up to reveal a F.A.B. control panel and seating for three members of International Rescue crew.
Once the danger zone has been located, Thunderbird 2 can either lower its four legs at the press of a button, or if a landing is not possible Virgil can lower the winch hook under his cabin, and at the press of (yet another) button rewind to lift its load to safety.
But maybe the danger lies deep at the ocean bed. Another commanding action from our rescue hero and Pod 4 drops from the centre body of Thunderbird 2, to deliver the high-speed mini-sub Thunderbird 4. Again the cockpit to Thunderbird 4 lifts up to allow Gordon Tracy to establish himself in full command of the turbo driven craft.

According to his Talking Action Figure box, Alan Tracy, pilot of Thunderbird 3, was a championship-winning motor racing driver before joining International Rescue. (Maybe he can be played by Michael Schumacher if they make a Thunderbirds movie?) Alan comes complete with his own Astro Tanks, Face Mask and Pistol, and he is fully kitted out in blue Thunderbirds uniform, boots, sash and permanently affixed hat.Each time you gently press his chest, Alan says one of five different phrases--"We're on our way", "F A B", "Thunderbirds are go!", "Thunderbird 3 to base" and "Calling International Rescue"--all in his trademark raspy voice.

Scott Tracy is the eldest of the Tracy boys and is the pilot of Thunderbird 1. He served in the US Air force before joining International Rescue. Scott is always the first to arrive at the danger zone where he quickly assesses the situation and decides what equipment will be needed and how the rescue is to proceed. If you are a Thunderbirds fan, a real Thunderbirds fan, you need the Virgil Tracy Talking Action Figure! Virgil comes with his own Laser Cutter, Visor and Pistol and, of course, is fully suited in his Thunderbirds flight uniform. But there is more. Virgil also speaks.
