    Science Musuem Hologram Chamber
The Science Museum Holgram Chamber What does it do? Solid objects appear to float in mid air, and youR hand can pass straight through them. The chamber creates an optical illusion, tricking you into thinking a reflection is a real object! How does it work? Place an object in the centre of the chamber (pennies work particulary well) Light hitting the object is reflected in the mirros on the inside of the chamber over and over. The chamber is made of two shallow dishes with mirros on the inside, and it is the two curved surfaces close together that create all the reflections. The hole in the top of the chamber allows the light to escape and the reflected light appears to us as if it was coming from a solid object at the top surface of the chamber (floating in the centre)
